Canada Immigration: Prince Edward Island PEI Designated Employers under the Atlantic Immigration Program 2022

Finally, Canadian Immigration has announced the list of Prince Edward Island designated employers for AIP 2022.  The Atlantic Immigration Program is one of the easiest immigration programs in Canada.  Employers are not required to have a positive LMIA (Labor Market Impact Assessment) to hire any foreign workers.

  Atlantic Immigration Program 2022 (AIP)

As we all know, the Atlantic Immigration Program AIP was launched in January 2022 and is a new updated version of the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program AIPP.  AIPP closes in December 2021.  After successful results and large numbers of new immigrants coming to Canada through AIPP, Canadian Immigration decided to make it a permanent program of Canadian federal immigration.

  AIP Participating Provinces

Canadian federal immigration's newest permanent program is the Atlantic Immigration Program AIP.  Employers in the four Atlantic provinces of Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador can receive AIP benefits without a positive LMIA.  This is purely to overcome the labor shortage problems faced by the provinces.

Employers in these four provinces can hire foreign workers under the AIP.  The employer must submit an application to hire someone under the AIP.  There is no way for an applicant to submit an immigration application under the Atlantic Immigration Program.

 Designated employer for AIP

Employers must register with their provincial immigration office before hiring foreign workers.  As an international applicant, you must apply for a job with a designated employer.  The entire immigration process under AIP begins only after securing a job offer letter from any designated employer.

We have already seen the lists of designated employers published by the two Atlantic provinces, Newfoundland and Labrador and Nova Scotia, and are provided below.

Now, another Atlantic province Prince Edward Island has announced a new updated list of its designated employers, ready to hire foreign workers under the Atlantic Immigration Program.

It is not clear from this list which employers are hiring at this time, whether there are open vacancies or not.  A foreign worker can search for jobs on Job Bank Canada, Indeed Canada or also find newly updated jobs in the Canadian Dreams Jobs in Canada section for vacancies available at designated employers in Prince Edward Island.

Successful applicants of the Atlantic Immigration Program can obtain Canadian permanent residence for Canadian citizenship
